1. What are your rates?
Our current rates are $180 per 50-minute session.
15-minute consultations are free.
2. What timezone are sessions in?
Session times are currently in Mountain Time (MT). Please be aware of the timezone when booking sessions if you are not currently located in the same timezone.
3. Will my insurance cover your services?
Many insurance companies cover psychotherapy services, so please contact your insurance provider prior to your first session to see if you have coverage. Cailey is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) with the CCPA, and many insurance companies cover therapists with this designation.
We do not offer direct billing, so you will be responsible for paying for your sessions. After processing the payment, we will email you your receipt, which can be submitted to your insurance company.
4. How do I pay for my sessions?
We will set up your credit card in your client portal on Owl Practice, and your card will be charged after your session. Your receipt will then be emailed to you.
Alternatively, we also accept e-transfers. If you do not have a credit card to put on file, we require a deposit to hold your session in the case of a late cancellation or missed appointment.
During your consultation, we will discuss payment options to determine the best method for you.
5. Will you ever offer in-person sessions?
Currently, we have no plans to offer provide in-person sessions in an office. However, we do offer Walk and Talk Therapy in Winnipeg during warmer months.
6. What is a consultation? Do I have to book one?
We offer free 15-minute consultations so that you can see if your therapist a good fit before booking your first session. During this time, you can ask any questions you might have, share why you are seeking therapy, and discuss what you are hoping for from therapy.
Consultations are not required, so let us know if you would like to book your first session rather than set up a consultation. Skipping the consultation requires that we set up your first session via email.
7. How do I book a session?
Prior to your first session, we will set you up in the client portal on Owl Practice. Here, you can book and cancel your sessions. Click the "Book Now" button to be directed to Owl Practice, or simply send us an email.
8. What do I do if I want to book a session/consultation, but none of the times available work for me?
The times available on the portal are whatever times are still available of the therapist's usual hours. Sometimes, therapists are willing to add in a session outside of their typical hours. Just send us a message to see if we can find a time that will work to meet.
9. I can't make my session. How do I cancel, and what happens if I forget to cancel it?
To cancel your appointment, simply click the "Client Portal" button to sign in to your Owl Practice portal and cancel your appointment. Or, you can send us an email letting us know you can no longer attend.
We have a 24-hr cancellation policy. If you cancel in less than 24 hours or miss your appointment, you will be charged a late cancellation/missed appointment fee, which is the full session rate ($180).
